Handmade out of red clay with traditional techniques:
+ Hand molded with rustic tools as a pottery wheel
+ Burnished with a piece of rounded wood to give that subtle shine
+ Cooked in direct fire
Smiley pots are made at master Emerenciana's workshop in Tlapazola, Oaxaca. She learnt how to make clay pieces from her mother and grandmother. Now, she teaches other women in her town.She has developed many skills as a womanpreneur, like deal with clients, management and sales.
